This illustration honors our service men and women who provide us with our freedoms we share today. My respect for those individuals is highlighted with images of my own family and relatives who are Choctaw Veterans.  1. Edwin Dyer  (cousin), WWII; US Army  2. William “Boy” Dyer (uncle), WWII; England; US Army Air Forces  3. Leslie James (uncle), WWII; Korean Conflict; US Army  4. Johnny James (cousin), Ft. Hood, Texas; US Army  5. Larry King (brother), Viet Nam; US Air Force; resides in Tulsa, OK  6. Chief Gregory Pyle: Not related, but a Choctaw brother  7. Joseph King (dad), WWII; France; US Navy Sea Bees  8. Loyd Dyer (uncle), Korean Conflict; US Navy; He was featured with Chief Pyle in the Choctaw calendar at Veterans’ Day festivities, and he resides at the Veterans’ Center in Claremore, Oklahoma.  9.
